Worried

can i have an opinion from your experts.

I want to relate my experience and have an opinion about the following things.
1) What STDS do I have to worry about?
2) What are the chances I caught something?(sraight forward please)
3) Can I stop worrying?
4) What signs can I look for?

Im (30).  Went to a massage parlour in Guatemala City. It’s a known massage parlour for being safe and expensive.  Mouth to mouth gossip about it. For Guatemalan standards( 300 dollars) is alot more than you would usually pay.

First you get in a hot tub with the girl. She sits down beside you, sometime in the water and sometimes sitting on the edge of the hot tub.  Gives you a sponge bath all over your body. Never sits over you. No genital-genital touching.

Second: She lays you on a massage bed. gives you a full body massage. face down and up. naked obviusly.  She is sometimes sitting on you but no direct genital to genital contact.

Then she puts on a condom on you and gives you oral sex.
Then there was 1 - 2 min. vaginal sex with a condom. Se was on top.
no kissing.
Condom did not break.
no alcohol

How stressed out should I be?

That was 4 days ago. Nothing has really shown up. Some headaches. They were there before exposure. Some backaches. But ive had ciatica for about 10 years now. and some weird sensation in the groin and armpits(its a stinging sensation that comes and goes) nothing you can see. maybe imagination. there are no visible signs of anything.

6 days later:

Nothing much has happend. still with some sting pain in the armpit. can also be muscular. I play squash.  So muscular pain come often.

7 days after

Still uncomfort in the armpits. i also have a little pain in the arms and legs. worried that pain is still there. my throat is a little soar. but I smoke and was out a couple of nights.

Im sorry im being a little annoying and keep posting.  may be im over anxious.

thank you very much. for the help.

Welcome to our Forum.  Your risk for getting any STD, including HIV from this encounter is very, very low -virtually zero.  To begin with, it is unlikely that your partner had HIV- most commercial sex workers do not, particularly those who tend to charge more.  Furthermore, it sounds like condom use for all exposures is part of what goes in this place- if so, I suspect your risk for getting any STD is lower than your risk if you were to have someone who you met at a bar.

Furthermore, the activities you describe have not put you at risk either- no STDs  can be spread in the water of a hot tub, condom protected sex is safe sex and there is almost no risk of acquiring an STD from the naked, full body contact that you described.

Based on your careful description, I really see no reason for concern and no reason to even test for STDs.

The symptoms you describe are non-specific and do not raise concerns for me about STDs.  Stinging of the armpits sore throat and muscle pains are more suggestive of the flu or some other common, non-sexually transmitted viral infection of the sort most people get from time to time than an STD.

My advice would be to not worry.  As I said, I see no reason for testing for any STD, including HIV.  I hope my comment is helpful.  EWH
