Thank you so much for the answer to my question. The main reason I was worried was because my wife complained of a yeast infection, took fluconazole and felt better. A few weeks later the yeast infection came back and she was prescribed the terconazole cream. She feels better now too. Her test for yeast came up negative before taking the terconazole. I just got worried, but I'm definitely gonna get tested, for peace of mind.
Welcome to the Forum. The exposure you describe was low risk- most commercial sex workers do not have STDs, most exposures to infected partners do not lead to transmission of infection and you used a condom for your penetrative sex, dramatically further reducing your risk for infection if it had been present. Furthermore, women get yeast infections from time to time- I would not let the coincidence of your wife’s symptoms make you think you have an STD. I would not worry. With regard to your specific questions:
1.) Can you get chlamydia from rubbing your penis on a vagina with no insertion?
Perhaps possible but most uncommon. Chlamydia infects the cervix, deep inside the vagina. Even with rubbing or your penis on her vagina, without penetration the chance of infection is tiny, if she was infected.
2.) Does terconazole cover up any symptoms of chlamydia? Would it have any effect on chlamydia whatsoever?
No, terconazole does not affect chlamydia or the ability to detect it.
3.) Do symptoms of chlamydia, NGU or Gonorrhea "come and go"?
No, the symptoms of these STDs tend to be present and, if anything increase over time.
4.) More or less, what are statistical chances of getting chlamydia from oral sex?
Far less than 1%
5.) Is chlamydia from anal sex only a possibility for the receptive partner?
No, it could be acquired by the insertive partner as well, just less "efficiently"
6.) Do any other STD's look like yeast infections?
No they should not.
If you are concerned, go get tested. I anticipate the result will be negative but by being tested you can convert your lingering concerns of the tiny chance that you are infected to being confident that you are not. You need to put this behind you. EWH
