Can you ask a friend for a ride, or take public transportation? If so, make an appointment with either your regular doctor or Planned Parenthood. But if not, and your mother keeps putting off making the appointment, again, call and make one yourself, then tell her you've already made the appt and need a ride. Being sexually active does mean taking responsibility for your health and wellbeing :-)

i's not that i can't get to a doctor because i don't want to it's the fact that my mom want bring me at this point. i have beg her and have asked of her for a long time now and she just always finds reasons to put it off. the other day i got blood work done and i was wondering if anything would show up in there. what are the chance of being able to have kids if i get pid. i'm scared that i've had this for a while now and it's already messed  me up and i was also wondering from what you told me before if any of those std's could make you itch.

I can't say more than I already have. If your pain is due to an STD infection in your fallopian tubes--as I think it is--in only a few days it could make you unable to have get pregnant.  Your statement "I haven't been able to get to a doctor yet and not sure when I can" is nonsense.  You can get to a doctor in an hour, once you decide to do it.  If you you are mature enough to be sexually active--i.e., to behave like an adult in that aspect of your life--you have the responsibility to yourself to behave like an adult when a problem comes up as a result, especially a problem that might affect your whole life.  Do it.

thank you for letting me know what might be wrong with me, i haven't been able to get to a doctor yet and i'm not sure when i can. Whatever is wrong with me i think its getting worse today my stomach wouldn't stop hurting and i was really dizzy my body felt numb all over and my boyfriend keep telling me that i looked peal and a little bit blushed, Do you think that i could be something else to, how often does an std cause knots in your stomach i've read up on alot of std's and i've noticed that my symptoms are more then one kind of std. How long does it take an std to make it were you can't be pregnant. if it is an std i think i've had it for some while now, i use to get pain like i do now in my abdominal area but it would come and go and i would get sick and not know from what i was throwing up for like 3 days and then it just went away and it did that like 3 times.

DarkAngel:  You probably have pelvic inflammatory disease, or PID.  It is an STD, probably gonorrhea or chlamydia.  It sounds like you have a pretty serious case; without prompt and proper treatment, you could end up sterile.

GO TO  A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER IMMEDIATELY!  I am responding on Sunday--but go today, even if you don't see this until the evening and if the only possibility is an emergency department or urgent care center.

Please don't mess around with this.  Your ability to have children in the future may be at risk.

Post a follow-up message in the future to let me know how it goes.  Good luck--  HHH, MD
