insertive oral from csw -- std risks?

similar question, once again.

on a recent US trip, i foolishly had a female csw provide unprotected oral on me, to completion, lasting about 3-4 minutes.

while i am clear that hiv is not a risk in this scenario, i am curious what appreciable risks for gonorrhea, NGU and others exist?

this was just one day ago, and have no symptoms, and wondering if i should do anything about it at this time, or at all?  can i continue to have unprotected sex with my wife?

That's the wrong antibiotic for any STD:  it isn't reliably effective against any of the ones mentioned above, including gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, or syphilis.  Don't take it.  If you just can't stand not knowing, visit an STD clinic or other knowledgeable provider and get properly examined and tested.

last question since i have your ear.  i have 500mg ciprofloxican tablets.

would it be silly to take a few days worth or one to kill any infection i could have potentially contracted?

It's up to you.  If somehow I were in your situation, I would continue unprotected sex with my wife.  But of course that's no guarantee; it means I consider the risk low enough to take the the small chance of infecting her -- but the risk isn't zero.

Welcome back to the forum.

You asked essentially the identical question last October, except that you specifically asked about gonorrhea.  I agree with Dr. Hook's response at that time.

As for other STDs, chlamydia is rarely carried in the throat, and even more rarely transmitted by oral sex.  NGU is a possibility; there are no data by which to estimate the numerical risk, but it's undoubtedly very low.  Herpes due to HSV-1 is a possibility, but also very low risk for any particular exposure.  Syphilis is possible, but currently rare in commercial sex workers in the US, and rarely transmitted by oral sex except in men having sex with other men.

All in all, the risks are sufficiently low that I don't recommend testing on account of this exposure, assuming you have no symptoms (urethral discharge, penile blisters or other sores) in the next couple of weeks.
