HERPES? YEAST INFECTION? STD?? WHAT??

I recently have had unprotected sexual intercourse for the first time in Feb. (4 months ago) And continuously since then. He has had many previous partners, but has been tested and said he is negative for any STD. I recently have had vaginal itching, persistent for the past week 1/2 off and on. I also had a burning sensation while peeing, i believe i had a bladder infection previously, as i have had that happen before.  In the past week i had pinkish dischange and the other day i thought i had started my period, but it was only an episode of bleeding ( put in a tampon and when i took it out a few hours later there was no blood), and i ended up starting my period 2 days later.  there are red bumps around my hair area, but i thought it could be due to razor burn.  There was one particular bump that had puss in it and i shaved it off and then continued to shave my armpits and broke out with something where it hurt for a day and left red bumps the next couple of days, could herpes be transferred through a razor? I checked my vagina, and if i were to pull it apart there are lots of white bumps, could be a sign of herpes? Also, i've noticed white bumps on the lip of the vagina, could that be herpes? If i look up and inside the vagina i notice what looks like possibly white blisters, i have never looked inside the vagina, so i am unsure if that is normal, or if it is an indicator of something?

Probably the single highest of all STD risks for women involve a male with many past sex partners and a woman with few or no previous partners.  The risk is especially high if the male also is older than the woman.  So you are in a very high risk situation and I strongly recommend you see a health care provider soon for a comprehensive STD evaluation.

Do you actually have an STD?  I can't tell.  Some of your symptoms do not suggest STD, such as red bumps or white pimple-like lesions in the pubic hair area, or in areaas where you shave.  However, the burning on urination and pinkish vaginal discharge are very possible symptoms of gonorrhea, chlamydia, or perhaps other STD. As to 'white blisters in the vagina', it is hard to tell whether you are seeing anything abnormal at all--maybe just white clumps of normal vaginal secretions.  Herpes probably is possible, though.  Yeast infection also is possible.

In other words, all the infections you mention are possibilities, but I can't say anything more about it.  You definitely need to be examined professionally, the sooner the better.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

Hi there, I'd definitely go to the gyn as soon as you can. It is best not only for your health, but peace of mind too. I just wonder why you haven't gone to the doctor yet if you've had these symptoms for a while? Is it due to insurance reasons? If so, check out Planned Parenthood. I went there once when I didn't have insurance. Best of luck! Hope you feel better soon.
