Bad Oral Sex?

Dr.’s
I have been reading the postings on the site and probably already have my first answer. It is the second question that confuses me.  Several of my co-workers and I were at the same party and many have already posted a question so I guess it is my turn.  I received unprotected oral sex about 5 weeks ago from a stripper.  I  have many of the same symptoms of the other men posting.  I have the tingling and slight burning on and around my penis.  I slight burning around my butt.  (I have had hemorrhoids in the past) There is the sensation that different patches of skin over my body are tight and burning but they are not red.  I have also had small pimples on the tip of my penis for about 2-3 weeks that have not burst but have come and gone. If it was herpes, I would think they would have burst.  I am sure the anxiety because of my family is partially to blame, however could that be all it is? One other thing, I am very tired in the evening.

So my first question is (that I think I know your answer) Can this be an STD?  I did a test that included HIV, Herpes, Gonorrhoeae , Syphilis , Chlamydia Trachomatis, and Hepatitis.  This was done about 1 month after I had the oral sex.  The test all came back negative.  They used a Herpes Select that had a reading of
HSV-1 aB IgG <0.90             HSV-2 aB IgG <0.90 (I am also aware from this site, it may take 3-4 months for the antibodies to build up, so this test may be a waste, if there any value to this result)

My next question is: since this was a low risk exposure (hopefully that was your answer).  Is there  any other explanation for what I am feeling.  Can there be a non STD infection from getting oral that I have not read about.
I guess the reason I am posting after all the other guys did, is my wife traveling has stopped for the next few weeks and this weekend is a private weekend for us and I am concerned about passing something along to her.

Interesting to speculate on several people having similar symptoms after a similar and more or less simultaneous exposure event.  I'm not sure which of the various threads are from your colleagues and didn't go back to look at the others.  But symptoms like tingling, vague burning sensations, and tiredness are classical for anxiety/emotion magnifying normal body sensations or otherwise trivial symptoms that people wouldn't otherwise notice; and when they occur togther, they are not classical for anything else.  Anyway, I'm wondering about a version of mass hysteria. (Which isn't as dramatic as it sounds.  It doesn't mean people are running around wailing, just the medical term when symptoms of psychological origin act like they are congagious, with many people in the environment affected simultaneously.)

As for penile pimples, you are correct that herpes lesions would have turned to sores then scabs then healed well within 3 weeks.  I have to be skeptical they are pimples at all; even garden variety pimples should resolve within 3 weeks.  If you're sure there is anything abnormal at all, you should see a provider for diagnosis.  You don't describe enough detail to give me much of a clue, but warts and molluscum contagiosum both come to mind.

I hope that helps.  Best wishes--  HHH, MD

I think the "mass hysteria" is we have all been friends for years and all but 1 are married.  We did an out of state bachelor party that 14 of us from the office went to and the best man had a surprise for all of us in the wedding party.  A few different girls and some of us were stupid enough to let it happen.  We sit and instant message most of the day about what our bodies are going through which I am sure is not a good thing.
I am assuming by your response, the test results should be acceped for what they are at this point and once I calm  down, the rest shoud take care of its self.  Thank you. Hopefully I am the last of the Jersey Boys to post about this!
