Painless abrasions (?)

Hi Doctor,

First off, I would like to thank you for your time and most of all for answering my questions.

For once, this is not herpes-related.

As mentioned on previous posts, Ive been concerned about herpes and I have look at myself with a mirror almost everyday. I have brushed it off but I thought I should ask in case if it is a concern.

Ive looked at my inner labia and i noticed that the left inner lip looks like it has abrasions. (maybe its in my head or maybe i just think there is something wrong) but it looks like its raw, like the flesh has been stretched, torn a bit/worn away. i touched it - and it doesnt hurt or sting. ive used soap and it doesnt hurt at all.

this is crazy but, is there such a thing as a painless abrasion? i mean IF my inner labia looks like the flesh has been torn or worn away/fissures/abrasions etc if those things are really there - it should hurt shouldnt it?

In your experience - have you heard of anything like this? i applied vaseline on it - im not sure if thats going to do any good. Please tell me what you think.

thank you again for your time

I can't help you further.  An online doc is not the way to deal with the many symptoms and concerns you have expressed.  You need to see a health care provider, to address not only your symptoms but the apparently abnormal level of anxiety that probably explains most of your concerns (except the initial soreness, which probably was a yeast infection).

Im going to see a doctor about these 'painless abrasions' if there is such a thing that is happening. I spoke to my doctor about it. And i have set an appointment.

I just wanted a second opinion.
