Thank you for your response. I am just scared to death and not sure what is going on and I pick at every little bump that comes up making it worse. But thank you again.
Greetings and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, however, I really can't help very much. No STD is a likely cause of the various symptoms you describe; once STDs are excluded, STD specialists like me don't typically manage patients with such problems, but refer them to gynecologists; and most important, when direct examination by a health care provider has not been able to come up with clear answers, no distant expert, no matter how knowledgeable, is likely to be able to do so.
Bacterial vaginosis is best described as a sexually associated disease, but not (usually) an STD. In any case, BV can't explain most of your symptoms. Herpes does not cause ongoing vulvar/genital burning, and generally doesn't cause lesions in the pubic (hairy) areas. The usual cause of pimple-like lesions (i.e., with pus) in the pubic area is folliculitis, i.e. a superficial bacterial infection often due to staph or strep bacteria. Another idea for lesions in the pubic area might be molluscum contagiosum, a minor viral infection that can be sexually transmitted. The "small scabs" conceivably could be pubic lice: look very closely and make sure they aren't small, slowly moving insect-like things. You can also look for nits, i.e. louse eggs, which will appear as small white spots stuck to pubic hairs. You should ask your general provider or your gynecologist about all these things. Burning/itching indeed can be caused by yeast, but many times no specific cause can be found for such symptoms.
From your description, I doubt that any single problem explains all the symptoms you describe. However it started, part of the problem could be yeast infection triggered by antibiotics (and some yeast infections are resistant to the standard treatments); you may also have folliculitis; and even if you have (or had) BV, it can't cause most of the problems you describe. You describe nothing that suggests herpes or other STD, however.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. You're just going to have to work with your own provider(s). If all else fails, ask for referral to a gynecologist who specializes in infectious diseases; such specialists can be found in most major metropolitan areas and/or at large medical centers.
Best wishes-- HHH, MD
