whats the risk of me having HIV

hi doctor,
january 29th i had unprotected sex. Two days later i developed pain in my testical area. I went  to the clinic  the same day ( feb 2nd)got tested and everything came back negative. The doctor told me I have Epididymitis. Prescribed me doxycycline for 10 days twice a day.

The doxycycline gave me a lot of problem heart burn a lot of gas and a lot of anxietey. I finished my course and took four tablets of azythromycine the very next day i finished my course. It did the same gave me lots of gas.
The date was 13th of feburary.

I got a itchy/burningrash on my penis(16th of feb) a few days later I went to a doctor and he prescribed me cipro. I took one tablet and it gave me a itchy face that was on the 17th.  The rash dissapeared but it was due to yeast infection.

On thr 19th of feburary I developed multiple rashes on my penis head and foreskin. On the 20th of feburary I developed oral thrush.
I have started using medication my rash on the penis have completley gone yet I still have oral thrush.

I have been really stressed and have been having anxiety attacks a lot.
I have read oral thrush is a symptom of HIV. Is it possible that oral thrush can be seen so soon and I might have HIV?

Also I did have unprotected sex with a girl I was seeing on before october 17th but I did get my test done on Feburary  2nd and got my results after two weeks saying everything was negative. I am too scared and I have learnt my lesson but whats done is done. I havent been able to sleep or do anything. I have been ignoring my family and friends ignoring work

No change in my assessments.  Your symptoms do not suggest HIV and your risk remains quite low.  As I also said earlier, HIV questions must be on the HIV Forum. There will be no further respnses about HIV here.  EWH

I recently started getting diarhhea and my throat has have been kinda sore but could that be because of thrush? It doesnt hurt at all I just feel its hard to swallow but no it doesnt hurt.

I am actually visting some family in India and I am thinking that could explain my diarrehea. Since I have arrived I have been having loose stool. But recently (3 days to be exact) I have been to the washroom 2, 2 and today three times. I have also been experinecing pains in my hands, arms and legs. Could this just be because I am really stressed.

I cant get checked till I go back to the states. :(

This is more of an HIV question than an STD question.  Questions about HIV belong on the HIV prevention site.  I will do my best to answer your questions with this reply but, if you have additional questions or follow-up regarding HIB they must be on the HIV Prevention site.  Sorry.

Your risk for HIV from a single encounter of the sort you describe is low.  Very few heterosexual women have HIV (on the other hand many have chlamydia and other organisms which cause epididymitis) and even if your partner did, your risk of getting HIV through a single encounter is less than 1 in 1000 while your risk of getting chlamydia, for instance is about 1 in 5.  Thus the odds are very much in your favor.

Your doctor provided you with the right treatment for your epididymitis and I hope is has improved.  It should have.  On the other hand, the medications he provided have side effects and you have described many of them.  Both doxycycline and azithromycin are associated with the sorts of GI side effects you describe.  Further, taking powerful antibiotics of this sort typically increase the risk for getting fungal infections such as thrush.   The rashes you describe on your penis and foreskin could also very well be fungal infections as well and are VERY unlikely to be related to HIV.

I have several suggestions:
1.  Try not to worry.  your risk for HIV from what you tell me is low.
2.  Get tested.  I predict your tests will be negative and when they are this will be strong evidence that you did not get HIV.  A test at this time will completely eliminate any chance that you got HIV in October and would detect well over 90% of HIV infections acquired on January 29.

I hope my comments are helpful.  Your risk for HIV is very low.   EWH
