Can't keep an erection

Hi all,
so, every time my boyfriend and I try to have sex it just doesnt work. He would get hard and then lose his erection just as we go to put the condom on. We've talked about it quite alot, he says he's not stressed or anything but we can't see what could cause this and how we could fix it. Would you have any ideas ? Solutions maybe?

I'm on Ortho Evra (the patch) and I've been on it for 1 1/2 years now but I'm not sure if it would be safe to have sex without a condom. Cause that might be part of what makes him lose his erection.

Anyhow, if anyone can help it would be very apreciated :)
