How accurate is chlamydia testing?

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and not slept with anyone else since a couple of weeks before we got together. I had an STD test when we had been together a few months and so did he. I had bacterial vaginosis but other than that both our tests were negative. Now comes the problem! My boyfriend has recently been having testicular pain in one side. He went to the GP yesterday who said it could be chlamydia, if not could be comething more serious and they will ultrasound him if the test is negative, What I am wanting to know is how accurate would the test I had 5 years ago have been? Could they have missed chlamydia in our tests? Had we been together long enough to have a positive test if either of us had infected the other? I have not got any symptoms, and am also wanting to know if I would have had some by now after 5 years. I do also reaslise that my BF may have had sex with someone else but we will cross that bridge when we get the results! Help!!!

chlamydia side effects appear within 1-2 weeks... the docs would have caught it the last time.

I suspect he does not have it and they just want to run tests to make money.

Possibility his testicles hurting from over-ejaculation. Find out if he masturabates a lot when not around you.
