Irregular shaped dark (purple) patches

Hello,

About 6 months ago, I tried something called "Jelqing" (for those of you who are curious you can find out more about jelqing at http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/advice/a4189/jelqing/ ).  Well this went great for about 2 weeks until i noticed the skin on penis was irritated.  After the irritation occurred, I got these areas where my skin peeled off and scabbed (gross!).  I quit jelqing all together.

Flash forward to today, the skin around my glans is constantly dry and flakey.  The areas where my the skin fell have these dark purple patches around them.  They do not affect my ability to get an erection.  The patches do not change size or shape.  The skin on my glans however is constantly dry.

Here are my questions:  Are the purple patches scar tissue?  Could this be an STD?  Has anyone heard or seen something similar to this?

Thanks in advance!

bobdylan, even if he had two penises, why damage one?

bostonTX, usually dark purple means bruising in the muscle or torn muscle.  Please see your doc or a urologist.

You really should get in to see your Dr about your symptoms. They can most likely prescribe a medication to help with the dryness. It's hard to say if the purple patches will go away or not. I would say most likely they will once you heal.
