Is it possible to lose sensitivity in one's clitoris after using a vibrator?

I've been using an electric toothbrush for a long time now, and it seems to have some sort of effect on my sensitivity. This has happened before, but usually I'm able to regain sensitivity in about a week. I've stopped masturbating COMPLETELY for about a week, and I can still hardly feel when I touch my clitoris. Is this a common occurrence?
