You may not be safe 3 days before your period. Like I said, the only way to know when you ovulate is to get an ovulation kit and use it for a few months.

I understand your question. You want to know when you are fertile. Not all women ovulate the same time of the month. You could ovulate 3 days before your period. The best thing to do is get an ovulation kit and use it for a couple of months. It will explain to you when your safe time is. Un til you know for sure it would be a good idea to use a condom every single time if you're not on the pill. The women in our family do not ovulate in the middle of their cycle. I got pregnant a few days before my period. My youngest sister got pregnant with both of her children 5 days after her period started. Same thing with my middle sister.
