sexual appetite.

I was on the depo shot for 6 months. But my sexual appetite decreased so much that I would spend weeks w.out sex.  So I decided to go back to the pill. I have been on the pill for 3months already and still have very low sex appetite.   When i went to my gyo to change for the pill she told me that it could be a side effect from the depo to low my sex appetite.   But i still dont see a diff between the depo and pills.  My husband get upset because I dont want to have sex.   What can it be. What can I do about it?

Hi 28, Look have you ever read up about Depo shot and its side effects, it will frighten you, I think when you come off the Depo shots, it would have been best to wait till your body got back to normal and you cycles were normal before encountering new BC pills.
But that could have taken up to 6 to 8 months, its a very frightening drug for some women.
Good Luck

It could be that the pill your Dr put you on has the same side effect as the shot. There are several different types of birth control pills to choose from so you may want to do just that, try a different one and see if things get better.
