I have fresh bloody mucus drainage and a long lasting bloody nose

I have been experiencing very bloody mucus drainage characterized by very fresh red blood and a sudden onset of a nose bleed. I'm 73 and remember only one nosebleed in my life before. I have no,symptoms of a sinus infection or a crusty nose. Should I be concerned?
