Cirrhosis of Liver Due to Alchohol Drinking.

My wife has cirrhosis of liver due to drinking alchol, recently she has developed a rash on her left arm. The Dr. put her on Keflex but did not work, now on Rocephin and some itch cream.
Will the rash go away or is it a symptom of something serious. The Dr. also said that the Liver has started to regenrate but she has ascites and Edema. How will all this be cured?

I will say a prayer for your wife and yourself.  I fully believe she can have a fulfilling life if she takes care of herself and does what the doctor recommends.  May you both do well.

Dear Annie Brooke,

Thank you very much for your advice. My wife is already in the hospital under treatment,
I talked to the doctor and he recommended Aveeno itch cream which does not contain any medications.
Her rash has gone down since they started on anti-biotic Rocephin and stopped Keflex.
Pray that she totally gets healed and returns back to our apartment. The Dr. said that this Ascites & Edema will be for life time but with diutery pills she will be well.
So this is it for now.
God Bless You.
Eugene Shah.

You and your wife will have to talk to the doctor.  Some problems are too specific to the individual to answer online.
