Help on nodular melanoma,please!!!

Hi, I am a 29 white female. I have a small raised mole on my leg right above my knee. It is pretty symetrical and dark brown. I am not sure if it has been there forever or not. It really kind of looked like a little dark blood blister to
me. I noticed it about a year and a half ago on vacation. It doesn't itch, bleed, or hurt anywhere. Does a nodular melanoma grow over time? Would I feel symptoms of cancer of it were by now? I haven't been to the derm in two years. I just had a baby girl on Wednesday and I have a 2 year old son. I am so scared that this is melanoma and that I have left it untreated for a year and a half. It's maybe only 2 mm. Please help! I am freaking!

I don't know if it is even 2 mm. It's probably smaller.
