Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Biopsy done almost 2 weeks ago @ 650.00, results came back as Squamous Cell Carcinoma go back to have the job finished, was informed they needed 1805.00. Well needless to say I have stiches from the biopsy and still have the carcinoma. At what rate does this cancer grow... Can't go to the health dept b/c I work for a living... What do I do?

Obviously you do not have insurance. Do you qualify for Medicaid? And here is something that you do not know - you can bargain with the doctor for a better price.

Definitely have it removed - it is essential. It is non melonoma and has a low risk of spreading throughout your body but if neglected this can be a remote possibility. And besides, the earlier it is removed, the less tissue they will have to take and the smaller the scar.

You have to have it removed. It is not as dangerous as some skin cancers, but still must be excised, or it will progress.
