Dream allot

So lately ive been dreaming allot.... ANd i remember most of what im dreaming (well i think)_ Just wondering why that is?

Lately (like 2 weeks or so) ive turned my sleep pastern around and first feel sleepy at 3-5 in the morning.- (3-5AM) -

And due to being annoyed by this and wanting to get back my normal sleep pattern, i try to get up early anyway.
(most of the times i just accept that i get to bed late and then get up late in the day too (like 12 or something in the day)_

But had one day where i woke up early with about 4-5 hours sleep and tried to keep it going towards the evening, but feel asleep on the sofa watching a stand up show airing on tv,. So woke up later that evening and thus was fresh until later during the night.

Now today im up at 08:00 AM and gonna try to turn it around again.

But yeah could this be it?

I also know that im kinda stressing over trying to stop smoking. Finding it hard as hell atm (with the lack of proper sleep and overall lack of energy to stop atm.- But on the other hand i feel kinda bad that i dont just man up and stop)

So yeah- Can these be effecting my dreams?

Its not really that the dreams are scary and thus buggin me. Its more that they are weird as hell and might wake me up in the middle of my sleep.

BTW - About normal sleep hours.

What is the recommended hours? Like 7-8 for adults?

Normally I get 6 hours. Not really by choice but just how my body acts i guess.

If i just go to bed and let the body wake me when it does, it almost always does so after 6 hours. And if i want more sleep, i need to stay in bed and wait to fall asleep again. Is that a fine sign or are the 7-8 just best for everyone?

Yeah.... Allot of sleep question hah.

But just wanna get back to my normal sleep pattern and stop smoking before the 24th-

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The normal sleep requirement varies with individuals and if you feel fresh and well rested after 6 hrs, then that should be your requirement. You could be having an entity called delayed phase syndrome, where in the biological clock is reset and occurs late. It is a circadian rhythm disorder. There is a circadian rhythm for all living organisms. It is a 24 hour cycle rhythm and the biological clock within that individual adapts to this rhythm. This can be reset by bright light therapy, sleeping pills and sometimes by sleep debt. In sleep debt, though you happen to sleep late, you condition yourself to get up early; this in turn will help you to sleep early. So, try this, but if your symptoms still persist, I would advise you to discuss your symptoms with your primary care physician who may then refer you to a sleep specialist for further evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
