I Can't Sleep!!!

I suffer from anxiety, depression and insomnia and I know that anxiety and depression can cause insomnia or make it worse and I'm pregnant which is making everything worse. What can I do to sleep? I've taken everything for insomnia, from OTC drugs to prescription and nothing works. I've tried everything, including relaxation mp3s to breathing techniques etc. My anxiety seems to get worse at night and I've tried other meds such as benzos etc. and even they don't work. I just don't know what to do and it keeps getting worse. What is wrong with me? I've dealt with this all my life and I'm only 25, I don't think I can keep going on like this, I might have a nervous breakdown. It's killing me!!!

Thank for your reply. I know I have a lot of things that keep me from being able to relax and sleep and I've tried to keep a journal before but it didn't work for me. I just wish I could find something that worked. That only time that I can ever really get some sleep is when I stay busy constantly with work, school, etc. but since I got pregnant all I do is lay around depressed and not feeling well. I try to make myself get up and do things but I have no motivation.

I don't have this problem all the time but when I have a stressful day or have a lot on my mind or had an argument with someone I can't sleep. Even taking meds for this won't work. I just have to suffer through it it seems. So the days I don't have this stress or other issues going on I sleep ok.

For me I've figured out what my triggers are for these sleepless nights. Maybe you too have these issues or thoughts rambling around in your head. It helped me to journal each evening and get these thoughts out. Not sure if it will help you but it seems when ever I've talked to others about this there is always some underlying condition keeping their brains on hyper-drive it seems.
