Hello and hope you are doing well.
Normal oxygen saturation is above 95% saturation. So, supplemental therapy may be needed to keep the levels above 95%. The levels should always be above this saturation, irrespective of the time.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
"What I am trying to determine is if a reading of 87 for 35 minutes during an 8 hour sleep is a cause for alot of concern."
I don't think so. This happens to me now and again. And I still have all my marbles. At least I like to think so.
No respiratory problems. They said it dropped to 87 for 35 total minutes during an 8 hour sleep study. I have tried the oxygen at night and found it difficult. Additionally I don't feel and better or worse in terms of restfulness when I wake up. What I am trying to determine is if a reading of 87 for 35 minutes during an 8 hour sleep is a cause for alot of concern.
I presume they are saying it dropped to 87. Oxygen is generally recommended with the level is below 89. Do you have any respiratory problems? Asthma? Emphysema?
