Lunesta question

I work nights, specifically 3-12 hour shifts and sometimes 4-12 hour shifts. I do t sleep much during my work week.

My dr. Gave me some samples of lunesta. I tried it once and I slept 16 hours, it really helps.

My question is I plan to take it on my first day off, so I can catch up on all my lost sleep. Is there a high chance of me becoming dependent on it if I take it this frequently. (once a week)

Thank you for your help, I will only take it when I can't sleep any other way.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

If you are going to take it just once a week, it’s unlikely that you may become dependent on it. But it would be best if you could catch up on your lost sleep (sleep debt) without the medication.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
