Thank you so much again! Yes, I have an appointment with a specialist for apnea. I am afraid that is what is causing it.... scary. It is funny because at the height of my "fitness" I was experiencing apnea. So, hope it goes well at the doctor. Again, thank you so much for getting back to me!!
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Did you have an injury to the neck? If so then this can cause a ‘crooked adams apple’. You may feel this sometimes due to spasm of the muscles in the neck. If this is happening more at night, your symptoms could also be due to obstructive sleep apnea, wherein during sleep there is an obstruction to airflow due to laxity of the throat muscles during sleep and this could cause restlessness. So, I would advise you to consult your primary care physician for further evaluation. He may then ask for a sleep study called polysomnography if needed.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
