waking up short of breath and chest pain

I am a 26 years old 74 Lbs male. Since 2 years ago I've been having sleeping issues. this happens every night. I go to bed 10-11 PM. However around 2-3 AM I wake up with muscle chest discomfort and short of breath. I notice I am not getting enough oxygen. I also have sinusitis so I can only breath through one nose at night. that chest discomfort does not allow me to get back to sleep again and therefore I always feel tire.  I already had a sleep test, EKG, Xray. and the doctor gave me Ventolin and something for my sinusitis but they do not seem to work. What other option do I have?

thank you

Sounds like you may have a sleep breathing disorder such as sleep apnea.  What did you sleep study results say?  You may want to do a trial with a cpap machine to see if this may help you, probably with a full face mask since you have difficulty breathing through your nose.  I suggest posting on the sleep breathing forum where you can ask Dr. Steven Park your questions

Visit an ent or allergist, and have a pulmonary function test.  You may be developing Asthma, from sinus issues.

Chest discomfort & shortness of breath, can be caused by many different disorders, acid reflux, Asthma, costocondritis, etc.....

It's best to address, your concerns with an ent/allergist or doctor, and allow them to do proper testing, to eleviate any abnormality.

Good luck !!!!
