I think it's better for you to quit smoking since you can smoke 1 stick per day, I think you can stop smoking easily. I think your 1 stick a day can lead you to 5 or 10 sticks a day until you smoke more than 10 sticks per day just like a normal smoker.
I had a coloatsopy ( camera in the lower intestants) and found out I had an enlarged large intestant where it connected to my small intestants. If was curbing my appitite. I had minor constipation for so long that this sympton apperied. The doctor put me on Critcal to get my movements back to normal and it seems to be working. I had a little gas at first but now It;s going away and I'm felling better. The problem is reversable. Keep the diet up in your fiber and you'll get regular and get into a normal pattern with no constipation.

The problem is getting better as of today, but gee whiz, only took 64 DAYS!!!
I asked my friend about this after my initial post, it's not something we talk about and I don't even know how the conversation ever came about and she told me that she no longer has that "one." She added more ruffage in her meals and found that her system adjusted.
My cup of coffee has always helped me in that area. I now drink 1/2 decaf. 1/2 regular and it still works. Could it be mental?
THIS is the post of yours I've been thinking about. I am STILL dealing with constipation and have thought of this post so many times and can see why your friend uses this technique. Not that *I* am going to do it, it's just I can understand :(
your friend is right. so glad to find someone else in this world need a cig to go to the bathroom, It does work. what it does is gets the tummy rumbling and starts moving things down. without a cig I never could go. now that I have quit again, I need prune juice everynite, and all kinds of other stuff. It is awful. Honestly, I tried to do the 1 cig for the bathroom only, but because I am an addict, I can't. I am addicted to the nicotrol inhaler. I am scared to put it down for good, but I know it is much healthier than a cig. and gives me the hand to mouth.
You didn't mention how long you have been smoking that "one cigarette" and have you ever smoked 2 or 3 and then went back to smoking "only one"?
I cut back once and I did fine for a few months. I only allowed myself 10 smokes a day. In a matter of 3 months I was back up to 1 pack. I don't think there is a way to "cut back." It never works for long.
I have a friend who smokes 1 a day but it is when she need to go to the bathroom, #2 (sorry everyone). For some strange reason it works for her.
The question you should be asking yourself is this. Given the right set of circumstances, could my smoking become more heavy? Why is it I need that one cigarette?
Why don't you try chewing on a toothpick or straw.
Any amount of smoking can't be good so given it is once a day, why not just stop? Only you can answer those questions.
