clomid

For all those beautiful women out there who has/is taking Clomid. Did your doctor have you take 5 pills for 5 days starting day 3-5 after your period but without no BDing until the 5 day?

I have taken  clomid  and I broke out ina  huge  zit lower  right  chin area  and i dispise  zits  this was a huge  pebble zit.  so i stopped  that was  3 years ago.  then i started  reading  things out  and  then  my dog owner  told me to take  sweet potatoe  natures  number  1 ovulating ingredient. the mothers  from way back then  told  there  children to not  eat  the  potatoe cause of its high beta carotene  level... wish i knew this  3  years ago.  and  boom  we got pregnant  it wasnt a  sticky pregnant   but  i got pregnant. in them 3 years  i never eatened  sweet potatoe go figure :)

so  for  2  dollar  tater  versus  $100 dollar  clomid for 5 of them  id rather  buy  the  sweet potatoe  and  bake it  and  mmmmm  mmm  delicious!

howevee  please  read up on  this  before jumping  into it  as in read up on  the properties of  sweet potatoe and enjoy!

Hi there,
I am 40 and this is currently my 5th cycle on clomid.  Yes, I also take it from Cycle Day 3 to Cycle Day 7.  My husband and religiously will BD starting CD 8 through to 3 days after I ovulate.  Now of course that doesn't mean that we don't BD any other day of the month if we want ;)  Prior to taking clomid I was not ovulating every single month due to just being diagnosed with having very mild PCOS by my fertility specialist (I was ovulating almost every month but would still skip a month here and there) - although I would always get my period every month between the 26-28 days.  Clomid has made me ovulate like clock work on the 14th day of every cycle since I've been taking it.  It's worked for me - so I hope that gives you some reassurance.  I have not got pregnant as of yet but it has certainly made me ovulate which to me just means I have a much better chance of getting pregnant.  If your temp has gone up then that is a great sign that you have ovulated :)
I get blood work done also starting from CD 9 through till ovulation to see what my hormone levels are doing and judging by my estrogen levels just prior and on ovulation day my fertility specialist can tell that I'm ovulating nicely.  I hope this gives you reassurance about clomid.  Sending you tons of positive vibes!!  Good luck to you!!!

THanks.
I took a Opk and it was postive. So who knows but I am following the doctors orders. I thought something was weird when there was two lines. My temps went up this morning I just don't know...

After taking clomid for 5 days on CD10 I had an ultrasound to check follicles, then was told to BD on CD 12. It also tied in with my OPKs. Your RE should advise. But yeah you will ovulate after the clomid, not during.
