Im seeing alot of you young  ladies  dealing with IVf, over  here its not really heard of much  as  on our health plan  we are not covered  for anything  fertility wise.  we have to pay  directly out.  so I was  wondering if you  ladies  are under  a coverage or you pay out first visits  etc,  how much do the ivfs  cost  etc if you dont mind me asking?

Hi , I'm paying out of pocket, 8000.00 for ivf, 2500.00 for icsi, not everyone needs it, my insurance did cover meds but I paid 900.00 for co pay...a lot of RE's can get sample meds to help. My insurance paid for initial visit with my co pay. To freeze embryos is 650.00 for 6 months and my frozen embryo transfer is 2500.00,
Good luck to you!

I think most people don't have coverage for IVF. For a really long time, I thought I was one of them. I do have a benefit of $2,000.00 towards infertility, but since IVF costs about $12,000.00, $2,000.00 doesn't seem very helpful. But then last week I learned that since my dr contracts with my insurance company (Blue Cross), he has to discount his fee by like half! So IVF will only cost me about $3,000.00 out of pocket. That's still alot of money, of course, but way more affordable than $10,000-12,000. Still praying I don't have to do IVF, though!
