15 year old male with nipple enlargment

Please take time to read.

I might say a lot abot how this started, but i want to be specific.  I am a 15 year old boy.  I just turned 15 about a week ago, but long before 15 when school was just starting (14 then) I started my wrestling session.  Half way through the session, before a match, i would get nervous and squeeze my nipple's together. (very embarrassing), but i couldn't help it.  After doing this for awhile it became a habbit and i did it all the time, once i started to do that i noticed my nipple's were starting to enlarge and get pointy.  Again i am 15 and they still on this very day they are pointy and kind of chapped(rough).  I am very concerned, because i have done some research and found 'gynecomastia' but i'm not sure if that's what it could be.  I am deadly afraid to talk to my mom about it and my parents are split, so i can't talk to my dad or any other guy about this.  I get made fun of every single day about this and i'm finally sick of it and need to know if i can take medication or need sugery?

some one please help me!
thanks sooo much!

Hi,
I just wanted to reassure you that nothing is wrong with you and you should not suffer in silence. As you know  nipple is a sensitive part of the body of both boys and girls and they respond to external stimulation. You should stop stimulating it and they will return to its normal state. Gynacomastia is a condition of slight breast development of adolescent boys and many boys, especially those who are fat , will have will have it during their teens. From your post it is not clear if you have any breast development; even if you have it, it will normally subside as your testosterone picks up and the fatty tissues get converted into muscles. This occurs since initial testosterone produced is converted into estrogen during the growth period and is not a point of worry. Here is a link for you to refer and get more confidence in yourselves:

Also as the previous poster has written, you should not worry about telling such things to your mother, I feel sad that you have no access to your father. For your own peace of mind get it checked up by a doctor, through your mother and even in future never feel bad about discussing such things with your mother.

With best wishes,
Solace.

My suggestion to you is that you talk to your mother about. This could something very serious. You dont want to speak to another guy about and I have a feeling that you dont want to talk to girls about it either. So instead of people making fun of you talk to you mum about it. She may have an idea what it is. If she does not then she will take you to a doctor. Your health is important and in this instance you should not think of what other people have to say. Before this has a great psychological impact on you do something about it. Talk to your mom and visit a doctor. If is something that has to be fixed through surgery then you will feel better about yourself instead of having people pick on you for it.
