I am sorry, I thought this was maternal and child forum. If you are a male, then leaking could be due to urine getting trapped by a tumor, a hydrocele, a hernia, cancer of testicle, varicoceles or enlarged prostate. The leaking could also be due to weak bladder wall muscle---this gives a sensation of incomplete emptying of bladder. Inertstitial cystitis of bladder or narrowing of urethra could also cause leaking. You will need to consult an urologist for this. Take care!
Hi!
You have not disclosed whether you are a male or female. Since this is maternal and child forum, I am assuming you are a female.
What you have is probably stress incontinence. Various causes of stress incontinence are weak pelvic floor muscles, child birth, trauma, large fibroid pressing on pelvic floor, neurogenic bladder, menopause etc. However low estrogen level without menopause too can cause stress incontinence.
Another possibility is that the pelvic floor muscles have become lax. You can try pelvic floor exercises to tighten the pelvic muscles. Your gynecologist can suggest some. One such exercise is to hold breath and pull in your pelvic floor muscles as in holding on to urine.
Another possibility is fibroid uterus at a young age. A heavier uterus presses on the pelvic floor making the pelvic floor weak. Hence the urinary bladder sags and causes this problem. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Take care!
