Late period

I'm a 13 year old girl that is concerned about her period. At the end of last month I was sick with a stomach flu type thing (Nausea, loss of appetite, and just a really bad stomach feeling in general.) My period was due on the 2nd of this month and it didn't come. It still hasn't come and it's three weeks into this month already. I'm a COMPLETE virgin. I've never even kissed a boy. This is what makes me scared because everything I've looked at on the computer says the most common cause of a missed or late period is pregnancy. I get worried over the craziest things and even though IT'S COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE for me to be pregnant, it still makes me worried because I've seen some websites that say that it is possible for a virgin to be pregnant. But are they really talking about girls who have never fooled around or girls that have fooled around, but haven't gone all the way? I know I sound like a idiot, but I really need to get this off of my mind.

Okay, that makes me feel a lot better. Yes, I talked to my Mom and she said the same thing. I just needed a second opinion because I don't really want to go to the doctor about it yet, since it's only 3 weeks late. Thanks for your help. I'm glad I can finally get it off of my mind.

that isn't true. there is no way you can get pregnant from using the same towel or wash cloth as a man. the sperm dies once it comes into contact with the air. so the girls who claim to have gotten pregnant like that....nope. they didn't. can you talk to your mom about it? and how late is your period?

I just got really paranoid because I was looking up stuff on the internet and it said some girls claim to have gotten pregnant from using the same towel or washcloth as a guy.  I don't think I have, but I'm just really stressed out over it and everything that I think that might have happened gets me even more stressed.I know I sound like a dork for believing that, but I'm just really stressed out over it.

if you have had NO contact what so ever with sperm then no you're not pregnant. you're only 13....your periods should be irregular. when i was 13 my periods would range from 1 day late to 1 month late. mine didn't regulate till i was about 18-19. if you're really worried about it talk to your mom and ask her to take you to a doctor. they can explain more about your menstrual cycle, possibly do an exam to make sure you don't have an infection.
