Pain due to smoking?

Hi, I've been smoking on and off since I was 17,but it was probably a cigarette or two every 3 or 4 months. Now, I'm 19 and have started smoking again for 2 months straight, and have just noticed this pinching feeling located on my upper back where my lungs are. It started after I finished working out in the gym, and has been going on on and off. Is it something I should be concerned about, or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks for your response, becks715. I'll go checked out as soon as I can, and hopefully it's nothing.

Always be concerned when it's pain in an area that isn't normal.

Go to the doctors - it might have nothing to do with smoking or everything to do with it.  It could be a breathing issue as you say it happens after the gym which is when you are exerting yourself.

Go get checked out.  There are 100's of possibilities on what it could be.  Or it could be nothing but still get checked.
