hand redness

hi im 13 years of age. It seems like when i get nervious or randomly my hands turn red i dont know whats wrong with me, do i have a diesese? this has been happening since i was 10 and i talked to the doctors and they said put cream after i wash my hands i have been doing it for 3 years and it doesnt seem to work. some people in my school seen my hands and think wrong of me. can this be caused by stress? i dont drink or smoke or do any sort of drug. but when i was younger like 11 i was kind of a hipocondriact i washed my hands very often and it doesnt seem to recover. i only wash my hands maybe 5 times a day, after i eat and after i use the restroom. i usually wear long sleve shirts and cover my hands with the sleeves so no on can see them. sometimes they are normal colored but usually when i get nervous they turn red and this is really starting to depperess me. some one please help me.

hi im 14 years old and i have the same exact problem! my hands also turn red sometimes when Im nervous and sometimes just randomly. i also have to wear longsleeve shirts because my friends question it too. it also happened to me at about 10 years old. I have been doing research and I think its this disease called edema, which is a type of eczema but its where your hands turn red and swell sort of. you can help treat it by eating lesser salt i your diet. but im not sure.

Your hands could be irritated from the constant hand washing or it could be exzema. Ask your mom to take you to the doctor and see if he can prescribe an oinment that will help. Also when you're nervous or upset, the blood can rush to the extremities like your hands and feet so that could be it. You may also want to get a referral from your doctor to see a Pyschologist. You may be suffereing from an anxiety disorder that can be helped with medication. Best wishes.
