Definitely get a second opinion. My mothers doctor ok'd her she would lose me and advised her to abort me, well obviously he was wrong since I'm here today. Definitely get a second opinion!!!
I just had a d&c last week.
Have the docter said anything els beside you miscarrying ? And how you been
7 weeks now... hope I dont lose it.
Oh lets hope your baby is going to be fine how far along are you
I had another ultrasound yesterday, I saw the same thing I did last time but doctors said its like slowly disappear. So I'm going to miscarry, but I still haven't been cramping or bleeding.
Did u figure out whats happening and did u go yo another dcmocter
I will do that, thanks again so much!
I would go to the ultrasound since it's just a few days away and see if there's been a change and that you see more than the sac. You should also be able to see/hear the heartbeat. If they say again that your levels need to be higher or that you're miscarrying, you should go home and call different OB/GYN's in your area. Tell them that you want a second opinon on a possible impending miscarriage. They should be able to get you in sooner. But even then, I would be researching a different doctor. Your levels at 6 weeks are extremely high, and I can't believe that he's telling you they should be even higher.
I have another one wednesday. We want to find a new doctor because clearly my doctor *****.
You need to find a new doctor. They shouldn't be higher, they are already borderline too high. Once you pass 6,000 the levels can take up to 92 hours before they double and sometimes even longer. IF you're actually 6 weeks, they should see a sac and likely a fetal pole and maybe a heartbeat. You need another ultrasound done in a week.
Okay, but why do my doctors keep telling me there supposed to be higher... I don't get it!
They're going up an thats what matters. At this stage, they may not double because they're already so high.
Last Wednesday, last Friday, this past Tuesday and today.
How far apart was your bloodwork taken?
And there is something in my uterus. .
My doctors called back I'm 6 weeks not 5. And they printed out the slips that have all my records ... the numbers are written, 51954.0, 47151.0, and 49237.0
Yeah, theres no way you're supposed to be 100,000 @ 5 weeks. My levels at five weeks exactly were slightly over 5,000. I strongly encourage you to seek another opinion with a different ob. Because either you misunderstood your doctor or he's not on the top of his game.
I'm not sure who told you this, because at 5 weeks your levels shouldn't be CLOSE to 100,000. They shouldn't even be higher than 10,000. That's not expected until further in pregnancy - now if your levels were 4,100 and you saw just a sac that makes more sense. Seeing a sac alone with levels of 41,000 at 5 weeks would indicate it could be a blighted ovum.
So the reason why they said it hasn't doubled is because I need to be at the 100,000 mark or closer.
My doctor gave me a printed put record of my numbers. There in the thousands... where I am in my pregnancy I should be between 10,000 and 100,000.
Your probably right. Ill find out tomorrow and get back to you..
It sounds like they were 4,100 to 4,700 because you didn't see much. And if that's the case, then it is possible that you will have a miscarriage. But they are continuing to go up, so all you can do is watch and wait. Did you say how far apart your blood tests were?
