Could I be pregnant

im 18 yrs old, ive been with my bf for 5 mnths, weve been "consistantly" having sex for about 2 and a half months. a few weeks ago we had sex while i was on my period, and i know its ALOT easier to get pregnant on your period. oh i forgot to mention im on birth control (ortho lo) and ive been on it for 2 months... can i still get pregnant while on my period and on the pill? (we always have unprotected sex but lately ive been feeling uneasy about it (feeling a bit nauseas during the day, breast enlargement, tenderness and swelling; mood swings; but no morning sickness, though im just getting over a cold) and my mom has even mentioned my slight weight gain and my breast size almost a full cup size increase... am i pregnant, crazy, or just gaining weight and boobs from my pills and eating habits?

thanks for the help!

Also keep in mind that the pill is going to take upwards of 3 months before it is at that 99.9% effective.  Another thing that you should be aware of are the side effects of your birth control.  Most birth control pills do have side effects that reflect pregnancy.  With you just beginning your pills 2 months ago,  I would say that you are not pregnant, but experiencing side effect of the pill..

Maybe you feel nauseated because you have been lying to your mom about seeing this boyfriend???  That does happen.  Anxiety can cause these types of symptoms.

It is actually highly unlikely to get pregnant while you are on your period. Is it possible that you could have gotten pregnant before you started taking the birth control?
