Need help... please

M15
I am posting this question related to 'period' under pregnancy 20 & under section because it doesn't let me post under gynecology section. i apologize for that.. but i am really concerned and i need a professional's opinion.. its causing me stress.

I've had irregular period for almost 8 months now, either it was a week late or 2 week but maximum wait was 2 weeks. I never missed period any month thou. But this month of July, my date was 7 or 8, around those days i had cramps, and i even had spotting.. spotting sometimes turned into light period but it was never like normal period. I have never had intercourse but i am sexually active with my partner. His private part never went into my vagina; i don't think even if he ejaculated his sperm could go inside of me.. but this time i have missed one whole month.. and i did have spotting/light bleeding. My diet- i have gained 2 pounds, not too much stress, almost no exercise, and no intercourse..Do i have something major to worry about? do you think being sexually active affects your menstrual cycle in any way at all?
i will greatly appreciate a brief answer,
thank you

Hey Babyscience, thanks for the reply..
Yeah.. im thinking about the pregnancy test. im having a hard time finding a gyn. who accepts my insurance... Im hoping my period are just off and there is no other reason.. I do need something to regulate my perioddd. My partner and i never thought there was a need of condom if we weren't having intercourse.. Does havinng alot of orgasms cause irregular period or delay ?

Oh also take a pregnancy test, just to rule it out!

I would see a gyn, most likely your periods are just off.  You might want to get on a birth control pill, as it will help regulate your periods and also protect against potential pregnancy.  The next step in your relationship will most liekly be sex, so get on something!  And your partner should really be wearing a condom if he is rubbing around your vagina...there are a ton of STD's out there....and ANYONE can get them, even without having sex.

Hi. Thanks Kim.
My partner and i never had intercourse but he has ejaculated around my vagina, definitely not in it or too close. even lets say his private part touched my vagina with pre-*** and pre-*** had sperm in it, what are the chances of the sperm surviving without being inside of me or travelling thru?

having sex can sometimes effect your period, however you said you have not had sex. i kno that every once in awhile if i have sex around the time my periods due....it will come RIGHT after : (

but if your thinking your pregnant, because you mentioned you and your partner basically fooling around but not having sex, your not pregnant.

some women just have irregular periods. if its really worryin you that much, go to a doctor
