Anyone pregnant or been pregnant with Lap Band in for weight loss?

Hi all -
I had Lap Band surgery about 2 years and it was a little bit succesful at first but has failed me. Probably alot to do with my own issues also. Anyway...
Im 6months pregnant finally after a long battle trying to conceive and have a big tummy anyway but I now I have been popping out 'up top' where as i only had a puch below before. I can feel my port and what I think is my band right underneath the skin. I realise this is only a normal progression that everything moves out and up but... will it poke out of my skin eventually and be visible (under the skin i mean). Also Ive heard that your port can be dislodged by the baby. Has anyone here been pregnant and what did they experience band wise.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

That is so strange that you mentioned this. My cousin is 3 months pregnant she had just gotten her band within a year of becoming pregnant. She had to see her Dr. that inserted the Lap band for the first few months. He told her it would not be good to try and become pg after just receiving the band. But apparently so far everything is good with the pregnancy and its looking even better everyday since she just ended her 1st trimester. Sorry I don't know much more about it. Good Luck

Oh wow! I don't know sweetie. I hope someone has a similar experience! Best bet is to call the Lap Band Treatment Center you went to and ask them.

ive never heard of it popping out, but that is an issue id talk about with your doctor if you havent done so already.
