And just FYI, it sounds like you need to know a couple of things.
- She should take the test with first-morning urine, read it within a short time period (the instructions will often say within 10 minutes) and then not look at it again. Some tests can pop up with odd lines later that women think are positive indicators.
- 2 weeks before her next period is due is prime time for conception. Women ovulate two weeks before their next period. This means that is not the time to be having sex without a condom. Withdrawal does not work. (And frankly, she should also be on the Pill or have an IUD put in, condoms alone won't cover every contingency.)
If she took a test and the test is positive, she is pregnant. Did you see the test? In other words, you know for sure it is positive and she is not misinterpreting an evaporation line? She should take another test and show it to you, so you can both be sure of what you are seeing.
If she is pregnant, the sex 3 days before the test would not have been the event that got her pregnant. The question then becomes whether the sex 6 days before the test got her pregnant. Had you had sex before that? (In other words, was the sex 6 days before the test the first sex the two of you ever had?)
It is a little unusual, though not impossible, for a home test to show a positive only 6 days after having had sex. This is why I'm asking if she could have been mis-reading the test, and if you had sex prior to that 6 days before the test.
