Totally normal, dont worry all your natural mother instincts will kick in when you have the baby. and theres always people around you who are more than willing to help. Not sure about your doctor but kaiser has the 24hr advise nurse line that came in handy when your baby is sick.
I dont believe it is hard. When you. deliever the hospital will ask u if u want to breast feed. If u say yes. They will ask u if u would like help. And they will send in a women that will help u with placement and everything else. I found it easier if i use a pillow or two to put under the baby so u dont have to hold him or her the entire time.
Wow is it normal to b super nervous about giving birth to ur first child??
I had a lot of trouble getting my daughter to latch on, and it was really painful. but I kept at it and the nurses in the hospital help alot and she finally got it. I breast fed a little over a year. its the best thing you can do for your baby's growth and health. I noticed that she never had gas either because they wont get bubbles that bottles cause. plus its alot easier to wake up for a 3am feeding and not have to prepare a bottle.
