If you started your period, and you're still bleeding, then likely you're not actually pregnant. When you start birth control, it can take awhile for it to become effective. Pills can take over a month and some take up to 3 months so even if you're on birth control you need to be using another form of protection as well, such as condoms. Even after this you should because neither are 100% effective and can still result in pregnancy.

hey there, you may have been pregnant though very early on and the baby has possibly failed to implant correctly, but still delayed your period, If you have indeed had a very early miscarriage, your body will take time to get your periods back into normal working order, it could however be that stress, anxienty or illness has been messing with your cycle, this is very common. As for the pregnancy tests, they should be read within the time specified, ususally 5-10 mins, after this any result shown is not to be taken. The reason for this is evaporation lines, the test appearing positive after hours or even just one hour is most likely the result of evaporation lines, the test line will appear almost greyish or like a dent in the test, the line should be the same colour as the control line on the test regardless of how faint or dark it is. If you still suspect you may be pregnant and that the bleeding you had wasn't a period, i would go see your doctor to confirm what is going on with your body, I hope all goes well and I hope this was helpful. good luck to you and all the best :)

Make an appointment with your doc and get a blood test done.

If you're having sex, yes there is the possibility you could be pregnant. If you're not pregnant I highly suggest you getting on some form of b/c and always using condoms.

Have you had unprotected sex inbetween the last period and now? A lot can throw a cycle off and when you're young your body is still working to regulate your period. Even the most regular women can still become irregular. The last period you had. Was it normal flow and how long did it last? The "positives" you had are not considered valid because it showed as such after hours of sitting. Unless they changed in the time frame given then they're negative.
