I'm 19 as well, and 17w 5 days pregnant. My boyfriend only JUST told his mom lastnight, and I told my parents 2 weeks ago. We both live a few hours from our families, so we had to do it over the phone. I called my mom & told her I had to tell her something.. And then just said it. My boyfriend called his mom and literally just said 'Jess is pregnant' after she answered the phone.
They were really upset, but they have gotten over it (even my boyfriends mom... Who's pretty much crazy protective of him). Your parents will be mad at first, but they'll come around
Well this is what I did, I called my mom and just said it. My mom and I are bestfriends and I know we can talk about anything. Now with my dad on the other hand. I called him and told him I wanted to take him out for breakfast because I needed to talk to him, and it was important. He said that I better tell him now so he had enough time to cool off, well then all of a sudden I said "your going to be a grandpa" and then there was just a short pause and he said congrates. You know when someone smiles they have a tone in their voice well my dad had that. After I heard that I knew he would be there to support me. You just have to honest with your parents. I hope everything goes good. Good luck
I wrote a letter to my mom. I couldnt tell her. Because I knew she would be really disappointed in me. But it took her a few mins to wrap her head around it. And now is very supportive. She's crazy excited. She will take time but she will come around. I'm 16 and she still did. Good luck and congrats! (:
I took a picture of the test and I cried and told my mom I have something to tell her but I don't want her to be upset, and then showed it to her (or show her a test) its a lot easier then saying "I'm pregnant" because I couldn't get the words out of my mouth. And I'm only 17. She looked like she was going to cry but she's very supportive. Shes your mom she will back you up.
