TC-Hypochondria

hello. I worry a lot about my testicles. just recently i went to my GP about a bump on my testicle that has been there when i went and got checked before. So last week i went and got checked twice in the space of 7 days, yes i know it sounds like a classic case of hypochondria and i agree. its just that after the visit i check my testes so that i know what is normal but i cant stop checking them when i do which causes me stress. So what is your advice on this, how do i convince my self that everything is normal because the DR checked it and told me so.
Also, how hard is a testicular tumour and how long does it take one of them to appear?.
Thanks very much.
Also, i've been to the DR 4times this year about TC, this suggests to me that i may be hypochondriac.

yea thats true. i've done that since last october when i first scared myself into thinking i had a serious problem. it took me until mid march to finally get it out of my head nothing was wrong. little did i know what i was feeling was normal. so i finally put it into my head that nothing was wrong. only recently tho i feel like i am feeling something i havent felt before. but, i also think what i am feeling may have always been there even when i had my ultra sound. so this is why im not to sure about anything. everyone says go see a doctor, but insurance only covers so much. i had a physical back in july and once again the doctor didnt say anything. im waiting until the new year to maybe bring it up again. hopefully its nothing. there are benefits to always checking because if something pops up, you know it hasnt been there for a long time if you constantly check. and there are better chances of it being caught earlier if it is something serious.

Yeah, its difficult to put up with. right now the advice i can give to you is to realise that the doctor had cleared you and that everything you are feeling is normal, trust your doctor, i am finding it hard to do this but it is helping and im feeling much better now, even though i still get a worrying thought, i keep positve and think back to the doctor telling me everything is normal. also, as hard as it may seem, resist checking, tell yourself you are fine, it helps.
also, what helps me is that i've been to the dr 4 times and have been cleared, thats enough for me to realise that im being silly.

Hi. After reading ur post it almost seems like we are going crazy over the same thing. I too have been going crazy over this since last october. Been to 3 different doctors even had an ultrasound and everything came bak negative for me, but yet I still check so often. Any info would help so much. I read so much on the internet but everything is different. I need actual facts!
