You take care my friend and nothing taken badly -
Thyroid disease --- YUK!!
What a rollar coster ride hey?
Dr Lupo gave clear cut medical information on his practice and what tests need to be preformed for adrenal fatigue - please do not challenge his practice - nor his way of treating and testing his patients.
As for the adrenal fatigue question - yes - the tests suggested by doctor Lupo are adrenal testing. There is also another test which patients can take on their own and some doctors will order. That is a cortisol 24 hour saliva test.
It could be possible you had some adrenal crises during your period of anxiety.
I don't test for adrenal fatigue. The standard way of testing for adrenal insufficiency is an ACTH stim test, but more simply an AM cortisol (BLOOD) of >=11 rules out adrenal insufficiency.
Sorry was not challenging his clinical practices I often cut my comments short and they come off as sharp when they are not meant to be. I was simply stating a fact as I saw it. I was adressing Wisie about his GP because if it had been done he would have known about his adrenal status a little better. Even though the saliva test IMHO gives a better overall picture.
I do not wish to offend.anyone and will attempt to be more tactful.
God bless
Whitby
All doctors are supposed to test for adrenal status BEFORE prescribing thyroid medication.
