THYROPEROXIDASE ANTIBODY

I had hypothyroidism and was just tested for THYROPEROXIDASE ANTIBODY  my level is 942...pls advise?

This means you have hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto's -- an immune system attack on the thyroid causing chronic inflammation and underactive thyroid.

Well TPO tests have many different ranges. Your results are higher than any range I am aware of, so you most likely test positive for TPO. This with hypo labs means Hashimoto, which is the most common form of hypothyroidism in the USA.

Did you have TgAb tested as well?
