Hi, Hope this helps. I had graves disease and had radioactive iodine back in the 80's. The doctor said I was border line on my thyroid and didn't think I needed thyroid hormone. I became very ill and my doctor finally put me on thyroid hormone my t3 was only 2 . I now take armour. When I was sick I got your symptoms. Low thyroid causes low vitamin b6. Take vitamin b complex. I'm no doctor so ask one, but I know it took away my panic attacks right away. You also can get adrenal problems that cause you to get dizzy. Low b6 is a real problem. Look it up. Carpel tunnel is caused by low b 6 ,also car sickness. Lots and lots of problems from low b6. Low thyroid makes your temp. low. Check it in the am before you get out of bed .Low temp and you can't fight infections. You also can can get yeast infections easy. Take armour thyroid it has both t3 and t4 . You may also be low in iodine.
If you go to a website called stopthethyroidmadness it states that low ferritin and t3 can cause 85% of what your describing. Since mt TT, I have spent months researching everything I can get my hands on about t1,t2,t3, not just T4 and TSH.During my research I was shocked to learn that many people who have been diagnosed with arthritis, asthma, joint pain and mental illness (bi-polar, schizophrenia etc) have ferritin and calcitonin issues. Just a suggestion, but if it were me, I would read up and not look at TSH alone....Hope this helps.
It does take some time usually to stabilize thyroid levels -- but with all these symptoms I cannot say whether you should wait or look further into the symptoms -- would talk to your doctor.
If you say you do not have a thyroid and have not maintained your medication properly as time goes on you will not feel well . It takes some dedication to taking your meds and a watchful eye on blood tests to get you to a normal level in clinical thyroid function.
You must become dedicated on taking your medication daily and follow lab results closely to maintain a symptom free condition.
We need to reach, stabilize and sustain our goal level (personal set point level), with plenty time allowance for healing, before expecting symptoms to subside, IF! indeed, it is our thyroid causing all our symptoms. A lot of us with our doctor, are treating some of our symptoms separately from thyroid, with: antidepressants/anxiety medication; sleeping aids; eye lubricants, vitamins (calcium, magnesium, V-D, potassium (and/or eat more bananas and potatoes/skins); drink at least eight glasses of water a day; stretching muscles on a daily or nightly basis - regular exercise can help with circulation; Vitamin E has also been said to help minimize cramp occurrence and a bar of soap under the bottom sheet); laxatives, etc. etc etc. The other choice is to suffer and wait it out. Good Luck.
