Hello, My doctor just told me my child's thyroid is enlarged, ordered a TSH test and told me today that the levels:

She ordered an uptake test and appt w/an Endo. What do the levels mean? Thank you.

Got them.

TSH .005 low uIU/mL (0.450-4.5 reference interval)

T4 Free Direct, S T4 Free (Direct) 2.74 High ng/dL (0.93 - 1.60 reference interval)

Triio. Free Serum 7.5 High pg/mL (2.3 - 5.0 reference interval)

What does this tell you all? Thanks.

Hi,

always get and keep your own copy of any test results.  TRhis is very important when dealing with thyroid, or any chronic medical condition.

Things will settle down. Ask as many qs as you like.

Shoot. Okay. I will have to find that out on Monday. This is all brand new. I barely got those above numbers out of the doctor which made me nervous. This waiting is hard. I'm kind of freaked out.

hi,

please post the reference ranges for the t3 and t4.The very low tsh would look like hyperthyroid. But i need to see the reference ranges of the other results to comment further.

good that you're seeing an endo.
