I have just had an ultra sound on my thyroid what does it mean?
The thyroid is not significantly enlarged. The right measures 47x14x12mm(4cc).The left measured 43x11x13mms(3cc). Total volume is 7cc. Isthus is not thickened measuring 3mms.
Both lobes are of patchy texture. No significant increase in vascularity seen. A discrete solid nodule is seen in the lower pole of the right lobe measuring 8x6x4mms. Lower pole of the left lobe also showed a nodule measuring 8x6mms. No othe discrete nodules, cysts or any other abnormality identified.

Hi Perry..
Can u tell me what your ultrasound consisted of? Do they inject u with anything??
Is it just like having a regular ultrasound? Curious..
Did u have any symptoms of strange feelings in your thyroid region before your ultrasound?
