will i undergo biopsy?

i have a lump in my thyroid and according to my ultrasound it has no vascularity, which means it's not high-risked in cancer. my doc said i need to undergo biopsy, is it necessary? my lump has no vascularity, isn't it an assurance that i the lump is not cancerous? thanks

I'm in the same boat as you! It's very annoying! I'm considering just getting mine removed! Because yours has no vascularity it's very very low chances of carcinoma but from the biopsy I suppose they can tell what sort of tissue it is! Good luck x
