Thyroid Scan and Uptake:
FINDINGS:
The right thyroid lobe measures 58 x 28 mm.
The left thyroid lobe measures 50 x 28 mm.
6 hour uptake is 15.7% (normal range 5-15%)
24 uptake is 24.5% (normal range 15-30%)
Thyroid scan demonstrates a prominent homogeneous thyroid gland without
focal hot or cold lesion.
IMPRESSION:
6-hour uptake is just above the normal range. 24-hour uptake is within
normal limits.
Thyroid scan demonstrates a prominent homogeneous thyroid gland without
focal hot or cold lesion.
Thyroid Ultrasound:
FINDINGS:
Right Lobe:
50 x 17 x 17 mm
Left Lobe:
46 x 16 x 13 mm
Isthmus:
4.0 mm
Nodules:
(Nodules smaller than 5 mm will not be mentioned unless the morphologic
pattern is high suspicion).
Right Lobe:
Mildly heterogeneous right thyroid lobe with mild enlargement. No
suspicious nodule.
Left Lobe:
Mildly heterogeneous left thyroid lobe with sub-5 mm low suspicion mid
left lobe thyroid nodule. Recommend attention on ultrasound follow-up
in 1 year.
Isthmus:
No nodule.
IMPRESSION:
Mildly heterogeneous thyroid gland which can be seen with the sequela
of chronic thyroiditis. Sub-5 mm low suspicion left lobe thyroid nodule
