Do I have hypothyroism?

I often feel like I am on an all day adrenaline rush and when I "come down" I am completely exhausted. I also have palpitations along with that feeling. I am obese, but I have been trying very hard to get that in check.I have been on a strict fitness regimen for the past 6 months or so and I am also keeping down my calorie intake, along with eating more protein, fruits, and vegetables. In the past 6 months, I have only lost 3 pounds. Could this be a problem with my thyroid?

I agree with Laura1967, you need all the full profile to be sure if it's you thyroid. Also, I don't know how old you are, but I get adrenalin rushes and palpitations all the time from the menopause, so it might be an idea to get checked for that too, depending how old you are. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The only way to know for sure if you have a thyroid disorder is to have the bloodwork done. You need to have a TSH, Free T4, Free T3 and antibody tests done. Hypo symptoms are too similar to a lot of diff health issues to just guess....dangerous too!
I would also get your adrenals checked....run cortisol am and ACTH...you could possibly be showing signs of cushings. Get your doctor to do a good workup and ask for the tests i just wrote to you....good luck!
